We work for a women’s organization in Kenya. Among the activities to be implemented this year is a project aiming at setting up women self-help groups in Kiberia. Located in Nairobi, Kiberia is the largest turban slum in Africa.
The overall goal of the project is the economic independence for the women. Each self-group will work towards creating and selling traditional jewelry and handicrafts from Kenya. Funds for the project are limited and there is the need for voluntary participation.
